Lawyer and legal translator
I received my Law degree with honors from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education “Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey”, Campus State of Mexico, and obtained a Master’s degree in International Law from the Higher Institute of Law and Economics of Madrid “Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía de Madrid”, Spain, and a Bachelor’s degree in Law approved by the University of Alcalá de Henares “Universidad de Alcalá de Henares”, Spain. In addition, I have a Diploma in Specialized Translation and Professional Interpretation from the Intercontinental University (Mexico), and have studied various courses on American law, Anglo-Saxon contract law, legal English, legal translation and translation project management, among others.
My professional career has focused on providing legal advice in corporate and contractual matters advising various legal firms in Mexico, United States and Spain, as well as acting as legal manager within the legal departments of companies in the insurance and consumer sectors. As translator, I have provided English-Spanish legal translation services for legal firms in the United States and Mexico, corporate lawyers, and various translation agencies in both countries.
As a lawyer, I have worked with legal and financial documents throughout my professional career and focused my work as translator for these kind of documents, which I happen to know perfectly well.
I currently work with a team of translators under my supervision who have the experience and academic background necessary to translate legal and financial-economic documents of high specialty. I also work hand in hand with other language professionals, such as proofreaders, editors, and expert translators, so as to offer a full range of translation services.
